Our dozers are engineered with the health and safety of the operator in mind. The tractors are equipped with a positive pressure cab and an optional machine fire suppression system comprising of external sensors and nozzles and an on-board control unit.
The operator and machine are protected by a full forestry cab kit, with sweeps, guards and steel mesh screens to prevent possible damage by falling trees. Metallic fire curtains provide an additional layer of safety.
Inside the tractors, fire-resistant sheeting covers the electrical components, with hoses and hydraulic cylinders protected by heavy-duty guards. The tractors also include special battery-charging plugs and fire extinguishers.
Specialist Firefighting Equipment
Dressta fire tractors can be equipped with specialist equipment to assist in tough fire-tackling applications – such as winches, fire ploughs, and bush blades.
The fire tractors make use of a direct drive powertrain to reduce the risk of overheating, especially in the tough conditions of long distance fire break ploughing operations.
The dozers possess efficient cooling modules for the radiator, power train and charge air. Air conditioning keeps the machine running efficiently and the operator cool in the hottest environments.
